Town loan target Ashely Ward says he would still be interested in a switch to Portman Road but only if it were a permanent transfer. Ward's proposed move to Town from Bradford fell through just over a week ago.

"Proud" seems to be the word on everyone's lips at the Club the day after going out on penalties to Slovan Liberec. Joe Royle said he was proud of the team and used the cliche so befitting Town's situation saying "this does give us more time to concentrate on the league".

Town's UEFA Cup run came to an end at the second round stage against Slovan Liberec after a 4-2 defeat on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate draw. Jermaine Wright and Finidi George missed their kicks after Matt Holland and Darren Bent had netted theirs.
